Madam Minister of Forest Economy presided over the launching ceremony of the project entitled "Inventory and field test for the deployment of the SIVL among the stakeholders involved in the VPA Congo LAS" on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
This project, funded by FAO, is implemented by the Forest Law Enforcement and Traceability Unit (CLFT). Its main objective is to make an inventory of the human, technical and material capacities of the entities using the SIVL (Système Informatique de Vérification de la Légalité) in order to allow its efficient management.
The SIVL deployment strategy is primarily based on a step-by-step, nationwide roll-out of the software's functionalities.
The first training sessions, relating to the "account management" and "tax" functionalities, took place in the Southern part in Pointe-Noire and Dolisie from 12 to 16 July 2020 and in the Northern part in Ouesso from 19 to 23 July 2020.

This project will also make it possible to continue the training of referents from forestry companies and DDEFs on the legality and special permit functionalities of the SIVL.
As part of the implementation of this project, training manuals for the legality and special permits modules of the SIVL are produced, as well as a field mission program in the southern part.
Within the framework of this project, ATIBT Congo supports CLFT in order to mobilize,
sensitize the private sector for their massive participation in these trainings and their implications in the implementation of all these activities.
Fieldwork is currently underway since October 11th in the departments of Pointe noire, Kouilou, Niari, Bouenza and Lekoumou.
