The Joint Implementation Committee took place on November 25 and 26, 2020 in the conference room of the Ministry of Forest Economy in Brazzaville and was co-chaired by Mrs. Rosalie MATONDO, Minister of Forest Economy and Mr. Raul MATEUS PAULA, Ambassador Head of the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Congo.
In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, this 12th Joint Implementation Committee was organized in a hybrid, half face-to-face, half virtual format.
The technical session took place on Wednesday, November 25, followed by the official high-level session on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
ATIBT was present as well as UNICONGO to represent the private sector. ATIBT presented the work carried out on the certification recognition manual, and on the short movies.

Following the training sessions on the taxation module in 2020, the year 2021 will be marked by its operationalization. During this new year, the training on the traceability module will start, once the training on the legality module will be achieved (still in progress).
Manual for the recognition of private certification in the LAS :
The roadmap was validated by the following recommendation: "the Joint Implementation Committee recommends that the IGSEF implement the roadmap to achieve formal validation by the end of 2021".
