The DYNAFAC Collective announces the dates of November 24-26, 2021 for the organization of the closing workshop of the DynAfFor project, the Scientific and Technical Committee (STC) and the Steering Committee (COPIL) of the P3FAC project in Brazzaville, under the patronage of the Ministry of Forest Economy of the Republic of Congo. The workshop will be co-chaired by the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) and the International Tropical Timber Technical Association (ATIBT), with the support of Nature+, CIRAD and the Faculty of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, ULiège.
The DYNAFAC Collective is a group of structures concerned with the monitoring of forest dynamics based on a network of sites and permanent devices installed in the forests of Central Africa. The main activities of the Collective's projects aim to improve management plans on the basis of results obtained from these devices.
This workshop will bring together around sixty people representing international organizations, representatives of the Ministries in charge of forests in Central African countries, associations, national and regional research institutions, representatives of the project implementation structures, representatives of the private sector and representatives of the FFEM, the main donor of the DynAfFor and P3FAC projects.
The objective is to assess the results obtained in the framework of the DynAfFor and P3FAC projects and to draw the main recommendations for decision makers.
