Gombé is an exotic timber species native to West Africa. It is a yellow-pinkish-orange wood, used amongst others for the manufacture of plywood, in interior joinery and exterior joinery.

Gombé is a large tropical tree that can reach 50 m in height and 1 to 1.2 m in diameter. Its trunk is cylindrical, with thick buttresses most often high. The tree has a brown-green bark, sometimes orange.
The tropical wood gombé is used in carpentry and interior design for the manufacture of plywood and furniture. It is also used in exterior joinery.

The tropical species gombé is found in the western part of Africa (Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria), as well as in central Africa (Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo).
