Eveuss is an exotic essence native to West and Central Africa. The tree gives a very durable, heavy and hard brown wood. These characteristics make it a material suitable for heavy constructions (heavy frameworks, hydraulic works, bridges).

Eveuss is a large tropical tree that can reach up to 50 m in height and 1.5 m in diameter. The trunk, with buttresses at the base, is grey-brown to reddish, smooth to scaly. Young trees have long, straight, blackish spines.
The exotic species eveuss can be used in industrial and heavy work, but also in exterior joinery.

The exotic species eveuss is found in a vast distribution area in Africa, from the Atlantic coast of West Africa (Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria), through Central Africa (Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, DRC, Angola), to East Africa (Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda)
The exotic species eveuss is a deciduous species found in dense evergreen and semi-deciduous rainforests. Seeds are dispersed mainly by elephants (zoochory) almost year round.
