Eyong is an exotic species that grows in Central and West Africa. The tree gives a creamy white to pale yellow-brown wood with white veins. It is mainly used in interior joinery.

Eyong is a large tree that can reach up to 40 m in height and 1.5 m in diameter. The trunk is straight, with high protruding buttresses, and covered with light brown to gray bark, with lenticels and irregular scales.
The tropical species eyong can be used for interior joinery to make sliced veneers, plywood, or woodworks.
It can be used for the following purposes:

The exotic species eyong is found in a vast distribution area in West Africa (Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria) and in Central Africa (Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, DRC).
The species eyong is a deciduous species of semi-deciduous forests. It tolerates shade.
