Ozigo is an exotic timber species. It is found in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, where it is now subject to commercial restrictions. The wood is light brown and is mainly used for the manufacture of plywood. Only secondary products can be exported.

Ozigo is a large tropical tree that can reach 40 m in height and 1.5 m in diameter. The trunk, often slightly curved, is covered with a yellowish scaly bark which is detached in large thin plates raised on the edges. The sinewy branches has a dense, dark foliage.
The tropical timber ozigo is a light and soft wood, not durable, used for interior joinery and plywood.
